Description

I kind of capture this by accident.  I wanted to catch the Butterfly, put I went with the wrong scope (my 7.5" Msk/Newt), I needed to go with my wider FOV scope.  So I went ahead and decided to getr some close ups of this region before I went to another target.  So I only captured 11 5 minute subs.  I was very pleasantly surprised with the detail I got for less than an hour of time.

From what I could find this is know as the Sadr Region and more specifically this was SH2-108.  Basically this is the diffuse emission nebula surrounding Sadr (γ Cygni) at the center of Cygnus's cross. The Sadr Region is one of the surrounding nebulous regions; others include the Butterfly Nebula and the Crescent Nebula. It contains many dark nebulae in addition to the emission diffuse nebulae.

Sadr itself has approximately a magnitude of 2.2. The nebulous regions around the region are also fairly bright.
