Description

First proper night with the Esprit 100ED. I am quite impressed with the performance, star colour is good, and mechanically it is sound. Here is a short integration of the Eastern Veil Nebula, in Hydrogen and Oxygen, with RGB stars.

Enjoyed a mostly clear night out less than an hour East of Winnipeg with friends. Sky was dark before the moon came, and clouds were at a minimum, passing through for about 15 minutes or so. Humidity was high but a slight breeze kept the dew under control for the most part. Setup around 9:00 PM and all taken down by 4:00 AM. This image was shot after moon rise, once my primary target M20 fell too low to image.

I hope to continue imaging this target in the form of either a mosaic or a longer integration with an identical FOV, to try and bring out some of the fainter Hydrogen and Oxygen filaments.

Clear Skies all!
