Description

Hello Friends,

again I was going for a rarely imaged object: Sh2-71

Probably of its size, it is out of reach for smaller setups. There are only around a dozen images of Sh2-71 on AB. But I wonder, why it is not imaged more often by the larger setups, since it is outstanding nice.

SH2-71 is a very structured and complex Planetary Nebula emitting strongly in Ha. The complex structure can be seen in Ha only. Therefore I have added the Ha-stack too. Unfortunately it is not so obvious and noticeable in the final composite, though I used the Ha stack as lum-layer. Processing was tricky and I have discarded many approaches, but I have learned a lot again.

I hope you enjoy this unusal and rare object

Please enjoy!
Rüdiger
