Description

After weeks of clouds, I was able to finish this image of three galaxies. It is called the Leo Triplet due to its proximity to the zodiacal constellation. Close to the lion, perhaps, but 35 million light years from us. The interesting and different shapes make the Leo Triplet one of the most photographed objects in our night sky.

The odd looking one on the left is NGC 3628. But you may call it the Hamburger Galaxy. I didn't make that up.
