Description

As it cleared up unexpectedly just before dusk I threaded the ERF filter (to cut daylight) and rushed to make a mosaic of the waxing half moon. Thanks to the wide field of the IMX178 I got away scott-free with 12 panes at 10ms and gain 140 each, stacking 300 of 2000 per SER video, not drizzled. Stitching was flawless thanks to stable air condition during the exposures.

The images in the revision are made with an ASI290MM, 5ms at various gains, 600 frames (10%) each, 1.5x drizzled. Mare Australe (Rev B) turned into view thanks to favorable 7° libration in longitude. The air became turbulent as the day darkened.

JUST SAW THE IMAGES IN THE REVISION ON A LARGE MONITOR. THEY LOOKING GREAT ON A TABLET BUT THEY ARE OVER-SHARPENED. MY SINCERE APOLOGY!
