Description

I originally bought the NBZ high speed filter for EAA with my 294mc and RASA8 for demonstrations. I shot a view test shots over the past 2 years, but never really used it. As soon as the moon was 50% or higher, I would switch out the 294 MC to the 294 MM. Yet, I was excited to see how the filter could be paired with the 2600 MC and RASA. This image did not disappoint with 30 subs on a 90% moon and 70 percent on a 80% moon. 

The Jellyfish nebula, Sh2-248, is a large supernova remnant in the constellation of Gemini located approximately 5,000 light years from earth. The SNR is approximately 70 light years wide.  The exact timing of the supernova is quite uncertain estimated to be 3 to 30K year ago. I have also seen reports of approximately 7.5 and 10 K years ago as the most probable. The tentacles of the jellyfish are a molecular cloud that supernova remnant is superimposed with Sh2-249. This Hii region is approximately 5,200 light years from earth with numerous dark nebula present through the center portion of the image.
