Description

The SunFlower Galaxy

Have you ever wondered what a 1 million light year distant galaxy looks like up close?

Well I’ve brought to you M63 also known as the Sunflower Galaxy and it lies nearly 27 million light years away from Earth!

On March 25th I started collecting the 17hrs of light from this galaxy and ended on April 19th. A 140lb weight capacity mount, a 9.25” light-bucket, 5 different light filters and an APS-C cooled monochrome astronomy camera were used during this process.
