Description

The Rosette nebula is a stunning diffuse hydrogen cloud surrounding a open cluster of stars in the middle of the frame that formed from condensing of the hydrogen cloud.

Locate in the constellation of Monoceros, the nebula is about 5,000 light years from earth and measures approximately 130 light years in diameter.

I used the Ha data I gathered from SHO version ( https://www.astrobin.com/84rz2d/E/?nc=user ) 2 months prior and finally collected the OSC color data when a newish moon and clear night decided to coincide.

I used pixel math to combined the hydrogen layer and red layer to form an enhanced red layer. With so much data on the Ha layer, I also used it as a luminance layer. Always a challenge to find the right color saturation with the Ha+OSC, but I enjoyed the final results.
