Description

Not the powerhouse image I was hoping for but given the few hours for this faint nebula under Bortle 7, I shouldn't complain.  You can see more faint nebulosity around the outskirts of the main body, which I have seen in much greater depth on other such images posted on AB and elsewhere.  I just could not pull it out without creating too much noise.  Sharpless 188 (SH2-188, Simeis 22) is an unusual planetary nebula approximately 850 light-years away from Earth in the northern constellation of Cassiopeia.  It is often referred to as the Dolphin or Shrimp nebula.
