Description

NGC 6820 is tiny reflection nebula (at 12o clock at the frame border) within the emission complex Sharpless 86 (Sh2-86) in the constellation Vulpecula. Sh2-86 also contains the open star cluster NGC 6823 . The most outstanding feature of that region are pillars of gas and dust that resemple to those of the Eagle Nebula. That is why Ch2-86 is sometimes called Little M16.
