Description

Shot  1-23-2023 from the backyard in coastal San Diego.  This was a bear to process because it was the first night shooting this object and it was moving faster than I expected and I used way too long 5m sub-exposures.  On subsequent nights I shot it with 60s exposures but the tail diminished each night and the background wasn't as interesting.  So this is the one I chose to process.  Despite the long exposure, the three tails are clearly visible - the dust tail pointed away from the sun at the left of the image, the ion tail seen as a thin bright line in the center of the dust tail and an extensive anti-tail towards the right of the image.
