Description

This image is a RGBSHO composition in Hubble Palette and it is the result of about 25 hours of exposure with Qhy168c color camera and Optolong L_eXtreme (for H-alpha and OIII), SvBony SII 7 nm and SvBony UV/IR-cut (for the stars) filters.
This nebular complex is located in a region of the Milky Way partially obscured by dense banks of dark nebulae, which you can see cataloged in the resolved image at full resolution on Astrobin (link below), in a galactic region rich in dust and neutral gases with associate young and hot stars of blue color. The most famous formation in this area is undoubtedly the Elephant's Trunk Nebula (vdB 142) visible in the lower center, whose shape resembles a female profile from behind in the fog.
