Description

This is my very first attempt at photographing a comet.  This is C/2022 E3.  Our green visitor who won't be back for another 50k years or so.  I have never taken a picture of a comet before and this was truly quite the learning experience.  I enjoyed and I've learned a lot.  All things being equal, I realize this is not a great photo but for a first comet photo I will take it.  I figured I would post it on my album as a baseline so I can see where my journey in comet photo's take me. These are both a challenge in photographing as well as the post processing.  I have lots of the Adam Block tutorials and I subscribe to his website but all that being said, processing comets is quite the challenge.  I now realize I probably could have gone for longer exposures.  My subs on this were 180" and I probably could have gone to about 300".  That would have brought out the detail on the long, faint tail a lot better.  All part of the journey.
