I was introduced to an Astronomy club, High Desert Astrological Society, HiDAS in September 2022. Initially I purchased a German equatorial mount in October 2022 to use with my Nikon D850 and a 70-200mm lens. Focusing was an issue. I purchased both a William Optics FLT 132 feather touch refractor and a William Optics ZenithStar 61II refractor in December 2022. After getting multiple err messages on the D850 using 3 separate dummy batteries, I decided to purchase a dedicated astro cooled camera, the ZWO ASI2600mm along with a ZWO 7x36mm EFW. I also purchased a Pegasus Astro Falcon rotator to complete the image train.

I turned 68 last January. I'm thoroughly enjoying this new hobby.
