Description

I almost feel lonely after so many collaborations, they were a lot of fun and also a bit of a more stress situation since you want to do the best in a team for sure.

This is the last image gathered with the ASKAR 400 for a while, right now galaxy season is up an running and I do have my f/14 setup out and running, if the weather permits that is. Want to do a serious comparison between f/7 and f/14, but well ... this later.

This image has the iconic Rosette in it, who does not like one of the nicest nebula in the sky? I chose as nearest neighbor the 2 Sharpless objects that I imaged with the FLT132 before (https://www.astrobin.com/hifljt/), with the idea that I might be able to use it in this image. And indeed it worked fairly well, the star alignment took a while (version G), but once this was done it was an "easy" task to combine them.

I also had to decide (again) which version I like better, the one with many more stars or the fairly reduced one. Overall after some early morning looks after processing I decided to give the less stars image the thumbs up, the competing version you can see in version H.

Please also have a look at version E and F, the Rosette alone is quite glorious, and I am stunned how much detail I could get at 400mm, very pleased about that. And as an eye candy for a desktop background version F, as usual my last image is always visible in the background 😊.

has definitely more detail in it, but was nice to be able to merge this into the wide field.
