Description

This is the most patient and nerve wrecking project I've worked on so far. Going into it with 0 expectations and still collecting the amount of data that I did was a big gamble. I was only able to be sure after the first 3 nights of collecting data on this, and this could've been a total failure where I wasted precious time under Bortle 2 skies collecting data on something that could've proven impossible with my setup.

After 5 nights of data, stacking the image and seeing it for the first time was a breathtaking moment. This nebula is one of the ones that I have loved other's images of for a while and have always wished to image myself, to be able to finally do it was a big moment of gratification.

Even after so much effort, I was only able to capture just a glimpse of this beautiful region of the night sky. The actual nebula looks way more beautiful and intriguing with hints of O3 signal (blue) which I was not able to capture at all. Maybe next time
