Description

At a distance of ~ 8500 light years, star cluster NGC-7380, and it's surrounding Wizard Nebula, present a very difficult observing target. The nebula itself spans some 20 light years, and contains a variety of Herbig-Haro objects and star-forming regions. High energy from the embedded cluster causes parts of the nebula to fluoresce, allowing hydrogen-alpha filters to dissect the many details, presented here in black and white.
