Description

I woke up early to catch up on paper work after vacation and wanted to see what the RASA8 and 2600 MC could produce going after a very southern target. From my front yard, this Hii region only rises to a maximum of 13.5 degrees at the meridian.  A fun and quick capture with only 20 subs prior to sunrise, but it gives me the green light to try to combo this along with the lobster nebula with a 90 degree camera rotation in the future.

Sh2-8 is located 5,500 light years from Earth in the Southern Constellation of Scorpius. The formation measures approximately 50 light years across and is a dense area of star formation within the our local portion of the Milky Way.
