Michael ran into some problems with the stacking of his Hα data (see
https://www.astrobin.com/forum/c/group-forums/pixinsight-addicts/wbpp-script-seems-to-have-gone-off-the-rails/). I offered him to see if I can reproduce the problem, so he sent all his images via a USB stick to me (beside 2 other datasets that I will love to integrate into mine 😊).
Unfortunately I could not reproduce it, I do not have any special settings except a few, but they do not seem to make a difference. I am still puzzled how Michael got his Hα images stacked so strangely, WBPP must do something very weird in his version. For me the Hα (as the OIII and SII) data were just marvellous (super nice data Michael!), makes me want to own a C11!
I kept on going processing, not using the RGB data since the blue channel was slightly misfocused, and they for some reason produced some comas, also a bit strange when thinking about the NB filter results were just spot on. So I applied my Pseudo RGB equations to the stars from the NB channels and produced some nice tight stars (applied some tricks that I found during my last image session).
Michael asked me to post the final result, and here it is. We will have sessions to exchange some information in the upcoming weeks, that will be nice! Nothing beats a collaboration in which you can talk about your hobby, learn from each other. This is the main purpose of this site if you ask me 😊.
