Description

After seeing Mau Bard's image of this object, I decided I needed to point the scope to that section of the sky and give it a whirl. This target would benefit from a bit more aperture but I was pleasently surprised that I was able to resolve the bridge between NGC 5216 and NGC 5218. I used a pretty big crop to allow better visibility of the main event.

I had hoped to have more luminance data from a remote dark sky location. Unfortunately, my EQMOD cable broke so my dark sky visit was a bust. The one cable that I didn't have a spare. Oh well, lesson learned. I have spare cables for everything now.
