I've been interested in astronomy ever since I can remember. I dabbled with department store telescopes and enjoyed viewing the moon and planets over the years. Finally, I purchased a Celestron 6SE in 2016 and started my journey into astrophotography.

The first 3 years was pretty much visual observation with some iPhone photography. That slow start led to my acquiring a Zenithstar 61, and HEQ5 Pro mount and an ever building collection of ZWO products and filters.

I retired at the end of 2018 and enjoy learning more about this fascinating hobby. Towards the end of 2020, I finally started getting some results that looked promising. I still have a long way to go - processing seems to be analogous to Harry Potter learning the dark arts of sorcery. At least I've reached a point where I'm comfortable sharing my images. I enjoy this site and aspire to improve my skills by learning from the experts that are here.
