A properly silly hobby that I love. It all started back when I was about 10, growing up in a lovely dark sky Scotland and began to learn the constellations.

A borrowed scope from 6th form college in the late 80s got me excited again - noone knew what the scope was or how it worked - including me! But I was hooked. My wife saw an opportunity for a fun Christmas present back in the early 2000s and bought me my first skywatcher 150mm Newtonian which I later upgraded with a sidereal motor kit and my first astrophotography began.

The rest is history and a greasy pole of more and better equipment but a lot of good friends along the way. Thanks for the inspiration everyone!
