Description

This object is a small faint planetary nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius almost 4000 light years away. It is a double-shelled planetary nebula with a binary central star, which is clearly visible in the image. The inner shell is brighter and appears oblong due to the overlapping emissions from each pole of the central star. The outer shell is similar in geometry but much fainter, with only a portion of it visible in the image. Overall, there is a stronger presence of oxygen gas than hydrogen gas, resulting in the blue-green nebula color.
