I have been practicing visual astronomy since the age of 12. In 2000, I began imaging with a parallel-port SBIG ST-7 and a homemade Newtonian reflector. In early 2004, I discovered the object that is now known as McNeil's Nebula. I took a 10 year or so hiatus from astroimaging, only to return in 2019. The "about me" page on my website has much more information about my astronomical interests and growing up obsessed with the sky :-)
