Hello all! I am a backyard astrophotographer from Kansas USA, I enjoy focusing my efforts on deep-sky objects and lunar photography. I believe I have quite an interesting story on how I began this hobby. In 2018 one evening, I was reading an online article about Milky Way photography from urban areas and actually being able to reveal the galaxy structure even through heavy light pollution with the right camera exposures and editing, I thought to myself there was no way that's feasible! and if it was then that's amazing that it's possible to reveal something that is invisible to our eyes with technology!

I was already a long time in the market for my first DSLR camera, so I picked up a used Panasonic mirrorless camera, I discovered the classic SkyWatcher Star Adventurer, and I purchased a cheap Meade telescope.

I am an electrical/software engineer by day trade, and I really enjoy that the two go hand-in-hand and I can even use my skills to contribute to this hobby, I also enjoy learning about mechanical engineering as well, which also plays a big part in how telescope mounts track the sky.
