I started astronomy when I was 13 just by starring at the sky with a C8 telescope kindly offered by my parents. The virus rapidly took over my capacity to limit investment and expenses, so I did build my own 40cm Wright-Newton (1200mm F/3) when I was 21. I spent 17 years in trying miserable astrophotgraphy and by providing help at the GEOS (Groupe Européen d'Observation Stellaire) by observing variable stars and finally I discontinued my astronights in 2000 and offered my scope to an association in South Switzerland. I spent the following 17 years doing mountaineering, just the time to see how much astrophotography progressed. Then, in 2018, I started again with a first investment on a C11 RASA followed by a Stellarvue 80/480 a TV127is and more recently an SVX180T refractor remotely installed in Spain. I am shooting and learning to generate my own vision of the night sky. A wonderful dream back to reality.
