I am a scenic photographer who has also been bitten by the astrophotography bug. I live in CO and like to also travel to scenic locations. My local visibility at home is poor (too many trees) so I do my imaging elsewhere. After the first few years of traveling to image, I now have equipment able to be set up at a friend's home in Southern AZ, that I can control remotely from here in CO. This arrangement means I can only image when my friend is at his home (he is also an astroimager) but when he is there this arrangement gives me access to more clear nights, better seeing, and the ability to leave my gear set up for long periods, facilitating collection of much longer datasets on objects.
